NWJobs Top Ten Finalist

Spring, 2006

Of note for KSI is completion of the reconstruction of 300 homes at Mariner Village in Pensacola, Florida for Fischer Properties and the US Navy. The homes, damaged originally by Hurricane Ivan in September 2004, were further affected by a near record rainstorm in April 2005 that flooded western Florida with over 15" of rain in 24 hours. Our on-site team, led by Josh Mullen, acted as owner representatives providing project management for re-roofing, exterior and interior construction and renovation, mold removal and abatement, and dozens of other complex details that brought the job in ahead of schedule for the Navy families who call Mariner Village home.

We are currently working with the historic Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie, Washington on Salish Lodgerenovations to the dining and lounge areas as well as a total re-roofing of the building. Built in 1919 and completely remodeled in 1988, Salish Lodge & Spa overlooks Snoqualmie Falls and is a favorite retreat for those seeking an elegant European style resort. The Lodge, after experiencing a small fire in March 2005, contacted KSI to provide design assistance and management of the repairs and reconstruction of the dining rooms in order to provide their guests with minimal interruption to the quality of service for which Salish Lodge is known. The roofing project will be underway this summer and will include removal of the existing roofing and replacement with a high-quality cedar shake along with copper gutters and downspouts. We will also be working with the owners to refresh selected areas of the building facade in order to unify the new conditions with the existing.
